Noble; Percheron thoroughbred cross

Noble is a sweet horse, as kind as he is large! 17.1 on a short day he has smooth large gaits with a lot of lift in his knee and hock. He has so much potential. At  6 years old I was able to help him develop through work-in hand exercises, leg yielding, shoulder-in and shoulder-out.  His owners bought him green at 5 years old and did alot of trail riding in the hills around Abiqui, N.M. He has a great natural trot and canter. Noble had the tendency to use the underside of his neck to lift him off his shoulders in all his transitions. He would also pull himself along with his shoulders versus using his hind end.  All the gymnastic work really helped him use his back better and then his transitions began initiating from his hindquarters. He took a sensitive hand to ride with no pulling on the rein allowed. Being a large draft cross he seems very docile, but just below the surface Noble is very sensitive.  Nice, nice guy. I was riding him before he sold to a wonderful fox hunting family in Arizona.
